**Change of use to listed building (Tower) 2019

A side extension to an existing 4 Bed Property provided a vast change in ground floor layout.

A new open plan kitchen living area with bi-fold doors made a huge difference to the property.

This semi detached property was a unpractical space for the client.

 

The client was clear on the what was required from the scheme:

​

- A rear 2 storey extension providing an additional bedroom with en-suite & open plan living areas enhancing the kitchen layout in a tight space

- New Front Entrance

The two storey side extension provided a welcome addition to a lovely cottage. 

​

A new kitchen space was provided along with an additional double bedroom to the first floor.

​

It was very important for the extension to be seamless, using the same materials and design.

The ground floor - front extension, provided a new wet room which gave more space to the family. (not shown in photo above)

A two storey - rear elevation extension  provided a New Rear Bedroom and a Large ground floor opening living space with bi-fold doors. Additional window openings and Chimney.

This simple single storey rear extension was designed to provide a larger kitchen area. 

​

Designed under permitted development constraints - full planning consent was not required.
